Washington JLARC
Survey of School Districts

Welcome to the School District Survey!

The Legislature directed the Joint Legislative Audit and Review Committee (JLARC) to review the use of first responder mapping systems for public K-12 schools (HB 1216, 2019).

School districts may use the state’s system (Rapid Responder/Easy Alert) or an alternative mapping system (RCW 28A.320.125(2)). The Legislature wants to know which mapping system(s) your district uses, how you use it, the cost and training required, and the advantages/disadvantages of the system.

Please take a few minutes to respond. The information you provide will help us give the Legislature a better understanding of tools needed by school districts for incident preparation and response.

This survey is conducted by the Social and Economic Sciences Research Center (SESRC) at Washington State University. Please do not hesitate to call if you have any questions about the survey. Please contact Danna L. Moore by phone: 1-800-833-0867 or email: sesrcweb7@wsu.edu.
